Alvin has 15 years of experience in investment banking and entrepreneurship, with a passion for technology and its possibilities. As partner and COO of 3dsense Media School since 2012, the school grew rapidly to become recognized as the leading digital media institution in Asia, consistently ranking Top 10 globally across 3D animation, film visual effects, game art and motion design. In his earlier career as an investment banker, he worked in debt capital markets & institutional sales at Barclays Capital and OCBC Bank, broadening his experience in private equity and early-stage VC investments with CapitalCorp.

Since 2006, Alvin has been a keen investor in the tech space, finding early success in public equities before embarking on angel/seed investing four years ago. He has also developed successful sentiment-based trading strategies in the currency and commodities markets.

He holds a Bachelor of Electronic & Electrical Engineering from University College London, and an MBA from INSEAD.
